About

Hello and thanks for taking the time to check out my website.

I created this site in order to show off some of the pictures I’ve taken as I wander around randomly pointing my camera at stuff.

Photography is a big part of my life; it allows me to show other people how I see and interpret the world around me; the colours, the textures and the people in it. Photography has opened my eyes to the joy of travelling and exploring new places and it’s provided me with a creative outlet.

I’m a late starter to photography, my dad’s been into it longer than I’ve been around and it wasn’t until a few years back that I started to take it a bit more seriously, since then I’ve never looked back. I typically shoot around the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire areas and if possible I try to get up the Peak District or out to the seaside somewhere.

Recently I’ve discovered the joy of film photography. There’s something undeniably attractive about film and film cameras, they slow you down and make you think of the picture a bit more than you would shooting digital. The downside to getting into film is that it becomes expensive and addictive in equal measures.

I do hope you enjoy looking at my work if you have any questions please feel free to get in touch.

Thanks

Ben Lee
